Rodrigo A. Muniz obtained his B.S. degree in Physics from the Fluminense Federal University, Brazil in 2005, and currently he is a Physics Ph.D. student at the University of Southern California. He has been running computer simulations of the dielectric response of nanostructures in order to analyze the properties of plasmonic modes such as space localization and scalability with system. His research aims to understand the fundamental aspects of collective excitations in broken symmetry systems and how to exploit the new degrees of freedom absent in more restrictive bulk structures. |
