I have just completed my Ph.D. in Computational Physics from the University of Southern California on September 21st, 2006, and I am now looking for a job in finance or consulting.
My research involves developing and implementing advanced search algorithms on computers to find solutions to problems which are far too complex to be solved explicitly.
These new methods can be applied to any problem where the volume of data is too large to examine directly, or the sheer number of variables makes the problem unsolvable. So far, these methods have been used to design new semiconductor devices, but they can also be applied to maximize profitable investments and pinpoint optimal business strategies.
