How to get to the CIT-USC Center

Airport shuttle

If you are coming from the airport, a convenient way to get to USC or a nearby hotel is to take the minibuses that run around the airport (look for one marked downtown LA, or something similar). They will take you all the way to the door of the Center (Kaprielian Hall, near Gate #6), or the hotel. Similarly, to go back to the airport you may call one of these minibuses to come to the Center or to your hotel.

Driving instructions

The USC campus is located about 2 miles SW from Downtown and 1 mile SW from the intersection of the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) and the Harbor Freeway (I-110). The most convenient freeway exit is from I-110 onto Exposition Blvd (West). At the end of the exit you will see the campus on the right hand side one block down the street. Cross Flower and Figueroa and continue on Exposition Blvd until Gate #1, or continue up to Vermont, make a right and go to Gate #6.

Another convenient access is to exit from the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) on Vermont South and proceed past Adams Blvd and Jefferson Blvd until Gate #6 on Vermont Ave at 36th Place. The Center is in Kaprielian Hall next to Gate #6.

Parking permits

Daily parking permits for Parking Structure A will be issued at Gate #1 (Exposition Blvd) and Gate #6 (Vermont Ave and 36th Place). The Center will pay the fee for its guests and seminar participants. Please, contact  the Center's Office at (213) 821-1668 or the Physics Office at (213) 740-1124 for further instructions. Carpooling will be appreciated to reduce the parking costs to the Center. If you run into difficulties in obtaining a permit, please ask the attendant to call the Center at 1-1668 or the Physics Office at 0-1124. If you are staying in one of the nearby hotels (Radisson or Vagabond Inn) it would be preferable to walk to the Center.
