EM.7 - ELECTRIC GENERATOR

This apparatus is a hand-crank AC generator that excites a neon light bulb. Turn a coil of wire through the field inside a permanent magnet. Ease of turning the armature is directly proportional to the load, making it a useful demonstraton of Lenz's Law. It illustrates induced emf's and the converstion of mechanical energy into electrical energy. There are two sets available, both assembled on 25 cm x 15 cm boards.
