Theoretical Atomic Physics (Quantum Gases) |
The key theme of Maxim Olshanii's research is the correlation properties of short-range-interacting quantum gases. The fundamental issues the project addresses are self-consistency of the Effective Field Theories (can we describe a quantum gas using few-body low-energy observables only?) and Confinement Induced Resonances. From the practical point of view the project aims to devise interatomic-interaction-related limits of the sensitivity of de-Broglie navigation sensors. This endeavor is supported by a half-million grant from the Office of Naval Research. several example of string theories that are dual to each other.
